Dear Band Parents and Students,

Congratulations to you and your child for the honor of being selected for the ETSBOA 2022 Junior Band Clinic. The clinic will take place on Friday and Saturday, February 11th and 12th at Ross N. Robinson M.S. in Kingsport, TN. 

Students will leave from the T.A. Dugger band room at 8:00 am on Friday the 11th by bus. We will return that afternoon around 6:00. Students will need to pack their lunch for Friday.

On Saturday, we will leave the band room by bus at 8:00 am.  Parents will need to pick their child up at 1:00 at Ross N. Robinson Middle School. They will need to eat and change into their uniforms before the concert. Directions are below.  

Students will need to bring:
Instrument
Wire Music Stand 
Pencil
Extra Reeds (woodwind players)
Valve Oil (brass players)
Mutes (trumpets & trombones if needed)
Uniform: band jacket, black bibs, band shoes, and black socks. (no gloves, make sure you wear your band t-shirt)
GOOD ATTITUDE!!! (Have fun and learn)

If your child is not planning on going to Junior Clinic please let Mr. Lockhart know as soon as possible so that alternates can be contacted. Once again congratulations students, we know that you will represent our school and community well.  Please observe the schedule and adhere strictly to the times listed.  Tardiness to a rehearsal will result in you being moved to the end of your section. All school and Elizabethton City School rules for field trips will apply.

Directions:  From Elizabethton take Elk Ave. to I-26 west toward Kingsport for about 19 miles. Take Exit 4(TN 93N).  Merge right onto John B. Dennis.  Go for 2.6 miles and take the ramp to Fort Henry Dr. Turn left at the light and go 1 mile.  Turn right onto Memorial Boulevard. for .4 miles.  Turn left onto Jessee St. School will be on the right.
